GlobeFindr is a daily geography game. Two rounds, about two minutes.
Need a hand? Write to hello@globefindr.com. It is one person answering, so give it a day or two.
There are no accounts, so everything lives on the device you play on. Clearing your browser data, switching browser, or deleting the app loses it, and we cannot restore it, because we have no way to tell it was yours. On the web, use "Save my progress" under Games & rules to get a link that carries your history to another device.
Names are first come, first served across everyone playing. Pick another. If a name is offensive rather than simply taken, report it below and we will free it up.
You need to have chosen a name before you finish, and you need a connection at the moment you submit. If it failed, the summary screen offers a Try again. Only the first score of the day counts, and today's puzzle can only be played once.
Detail is loaded as you go, so it sharpens a moment after the camera stops moving. With no signal the game falls back to lower resolution maps stored on your device, which are deliberately coarser.
Yes. Maps for the coming days download quietly in the background while you are on wifi, so the daily puzzle works on a plane. The leaderboard needs a connection and will post your score next time you are online.
If you see an offensive name on a leaderboard, write to hello@globefindr.com with the name. We remove it and block the device that set it, usually within 24 hours.
Email us the exact name you used and we will delete your player record and every score attached to it. Everything else is on your device already and goes when you delete the app.
